Iv seen few people mentioned use white spirit for spotter is that right and is safe use

Yes in a commercial restoration situation as mentioned in the posts previously but never in a domestic situation,

There really should be no need,there are plenty of products out there to use in a domestic situation designed specifically for the job at hand, you could also do some serious damage to fabrics and backing materials using white spirit.

There is the odour issue as well but as mentioned there are now low odour products available,I would just avoid it.

low odour white spirit isn't as affective as the normal one. Make sure you rinse out fully and don't let it dwell too long.

Someone above said to use it on commercial carpets. I would defiantly not use it on carpet tile or CGD office carpet.

Have used white spirit for many years as a spotter, just take same precautions as you would any solvent........
