Hi all, iv got a new customer who's just doing their house up and have fitted double glazing with aluminium frames, silly question but do I just clean these as normal plastic frames?
Thank you ;D

I've read that old aluminium frames can oxidise meaning the water that runs off is milky in colour. Having said that I've cleaned the odd aluminium door with WFP and it's not been a problem. I guess you'll just need to test on one window and there's a problem do them trad.

if there new windows then they ll be fine.its the old style powder coated frames that you have to watch out for as well as the dreaded perished/badly fitted rubber seals

The only downside is that scratches will show up more compared to white UPVC so don't be temped to use
anything abrasive and be careful with the brush stock, I would stay clear of chemical cleaners as they might cause them to discolour.
