Title: Different rates.
Post by: Blackadder on November 17, 2015, 05:20:21 pm
Evening all, I live in the south east where I have an idea  what to charge each job but got asked to clean down the brickwork front of a Harley street surgery (ground floor & 1st) for a friend I know, it took about 2hrs for that before I started on all the insides, work is completed but still stewing on what to charge them for the outside wash down, what are London rates, Harley street in particular?

I've no idea, but whatever it is, I would think that it would be wise to agree your price with the customer before proceeding though.

Agreed, never usually do that but this was a late notice one off.

That's fair enough Mark. Being in Harley Street, it should be a good earner even though I have no idea how much!

Personally,
I'd add a percentage rather than try and rip the Pi** will it lead to more work, if not then maybe wack it up.

As long as you walk away happy with what you made, then you haven't lost.

I started window cleaning for a company in the west end of London when I left school around 1996 and the money then was much, much higher than what's being batted about now.
Central London has some of the highest property prices in the world you could put a price in for around £150 and they probably won't question it.

Base it on what Harley Street doctors charge.
