Hi.
I have the opportunity to buy a POWERMATE preowned. Can hardly find anything online, but there is a picture and small spec here.
http://www.hellopro.co.uk/Woodbridge_Commercial_Ltd-6608-noprofil-2009398-38527-0-1-1-fr-societe.html
It would be my first machine and i would plan to use this till i can get a jag or prochem, then i would keep the powermate as my spare.
For £250, hardly used, what do you think? Comes with wand and hose.

Buy it then get an engineer to check it over.£250 sounds a bargain if its sound...........drop it over to me if you don't want it.........Alan

I had one of those once.... before I went LM only......Very reliable machine, and I ran up to 35 foot hose from it, which meant at a lot of houses I could leave it at the front door.....

Nice to see you keep looking in Hector, when are you going to write you ebook on LM cleanings?

Lim cleaning is so misunderstood in Britain that you could unsolve the myths.

Compared to other portables available today the Power mate is not very powerful and can hardly be described as a professional machine for the professional carpet cleaning operator. This kind of machine is ok for the occasional 'in house' clean up of establishments like nursing homes, etc. Would be very hard work using this day in day out. When I started 35 years ago machines of this power were all we had, so we had to make up for the lack of performance by using strong alkaline chemicals to achieve a result. This is not acceptable today. It's difficult I know when funds wont allow better equipment, but without the right equipment, how are you going to get the job done? I had no money when I was starting, I had to borrow off my mother to get my first extraction machine, then struggled for ages to pay her back, but it got me going.
Dave.
