Title: Pure freedom twin hose reels
Post by: oliver collins on November 09, 2015, 06:04:45 pm
Hi guys
Does anyone have one of these are they a good investment ?
Need to organise my van properly and was looking at one of these as a solution
The sliding roller bars do look like a good idea apart from you would need to work with the doors open all the time
Any opinions welcome !

I think Lee gls fitted one,

I do have one, I picked it up really cheap off eBay, they are nicely made, just not had time to fit it in anything yet.

Darran is right. Lee GLS has one.

But the adjustable roller guide doesn't come out further than  the back doors, so you will still have an issue when you want to pull the hose out sideways. He was specifically asked that question by another poster.

I would imagine that they are the identical hose reel to the single one you have, the one with the dodgy center shaft that leaks.

If this is fixed inside your van then you may well have to leave the doors open.

Yes I've got one, very well made and the rollers are great. They do not come past the doors if they are opened 90 deg, but if you open the door 180 deg it will work. I have a tail gate on my van so the door isn't and issue so I can pull my hose from 180 deg angle

I don't reckon it would work with minibore. It would be too tight.

It would work fine with mini bore, the exceed ejector passes through the gap and that is bigger then mini bore hose.

Sorry, I didn't explain well. At times minibore overfills the reel and I could do with losing 10m. It would be tight with the adjustable bit below the reels.
