looks a good machine

i had the Alltec Advance twin vac and reminds me of the good old days of starting out on my own

why 2 inline heaters? does one raise the temp for the other to raise it further when using higher psi?

i bet its a tight squeeze inside there for servicing/replacing parts

2 inline heaters????
Are you sure I think it's 1 immersion and 1 inline.
Great looking machines, and you can't go wrong with the guys and girls at Alltec.

It would be about a 1000w heater on each cord ...that is why there is two switches . Why that way ...because the spare current is there on each cord so they are making use of it .. why not just have a 3 kw external in line you say ....why not have both the inbuilt and a 3 kw external I say . Than u have a 5 kw fire breathing dragon.

Answers to questions:-
Inline heater(s)  it's not got two just the one 2Kw with 2 stage control switches.
Vacs - 2 x Electro 3 stage 1600watt 2.5 HP.
Cost - Just under £3,500..

I have a Blueline Thermal Wave HP 2 Vortec, TM which I have had for 8 years, this Alltec machine is purely for use as a standby. Nothing worse than being halfway through a job and something goes wrong with your extractor, and you cannot finish the job the same day. Hopefully I won't put too many, if any, hours on this new machine, but it will be there just in case - peace of mind.

I should add that I also received the usual outstanding service from John Kelly at Restormate, in supplying me with a Nu-Matic Rotary set up.

But you have to have your two cords plugged in to run the two switches on the inline heater ?
so the heater is like this  ...   two joined together to make one .  But each powered from a separate cord .

Yes John, I believe that is correct. Both cables have to be used.

sure , other wise an electro motor (7amps and a  2kw heater(9amps) on one cord would be  15 amps .
They have to keep to <13 per cord .
So  its probably like .
cord one -  electro motor 7amp  , heater (about 4amp )  pump ( about 3 max )
 cord two - electro motor 7amp , heater (about4amp )  APO pump ( about 0.5 to 1amp )

The immersion dont matter because its only used to preheat when vacs are off .

Id say its tight on cord one to be under 13amps , id like to see a current meter on it .. but perhaps the pump is about 2

you seem to be spending a lot of cash on new gear Dave, isn't about time an old timer like you put his feet up? probably at the side of some mountain.

Missed this one Colin. Its all about peace of mind, knowing that now I shouldn't have massive downtime. Always the possibility of changing to Van Mount.  :o
