Hi Dazzler

I am hoping that they will be on the shelf ready to send out sometime next week.

We will continue to sell both types alongside each for some time to offer a choice to those who like the older style  :)

When will the sale stop Alex ?

Thanks.

This depends on exact stock levels, but about 2-4 weeks time the Series-II Xtreme poles will stop being on sale and will continue to be sold but at a non-sale price.

What's the difference between the old version and the new version?

What's the difference between the old version and the new version?

Some are older than others.

Might have guessed, ask a sensible question and get an idiotic response from another troll with nothing better to do  :)

What's the difference between the old version and the new version?

The new X3 is 3% lighter, 15% more rigid, 20% stronger and fully clampable in any position.

20% stronger sounds like a big improvement. How would that compare with the SLX.
I would like to see a video of safe working loads comparing different poles.

Sorry.  I was running late and in a hurry to go out earlier on.
I should have said, "Some are older than others and some are newer." :)
I'll crawl back under my bridge now.

Hi Alex
i use the extreme mk 1 and mk 2 the extreme with the metal bands is heavier than the one without the bands , so when you say that the new pole is 5 % lighter do you mean 5% lighter than the one with the metal bands and if so what is the weight difference between the mk 1 and mk3
I hope that makes sense

Gary

They are on average about 3% lighter (between 30-70g lighter). Some of the sizes of the X-3 poles are lighter than the same sizes in the series-I poles and some sizes of the X-3 poles are the same weights as the series-I poles.

The SLX poles still have greater lateral strength (about another 20% stronger again). However the X3 rigidity is much greater than the SLX poles.
