I have a zero with heater fitted,  the problem is have is you can't control the heat and it comes out bloody hot the hoses start expanding then connectors pop off  , I only use when very cold.

if its very hot and your working in very cold conditions you ll be cracking glass resulting in even more expense plus the time wasted faffing about fixing blown connectors not to mention the cost of diesel to heat the actual water up.i cant believe the cost of the ionics systems and you cant control the temperature of the water? ::)roll

Never crack a pane of glass with it since I've had my diesel heater, you only have to be careful with very thin glass PVC and the like don't even creek in the cold it's the glass without any room for expansion you have to watch

A solution to popping connectors with hot water. First off use rectus 26 fittings on everything then run your pump on  a bypass system rather than a flow controller. As your water heats up it expands with a normal pump/flow control combination when the flow is stopped  that last bit of cold water that Enters  the system has no where to go when it expands so pressure builds up beyond what you would normally run. With a bypass system the pressure is released regardless if there is flow or not!
Bypass before the heater though not after!
