Title: Pencil jets removal help
Post by: Barryy on October 28, 2015, 07:04:41 pm
I bought a new XLINE Evo-Lite brush and want to replace the pencil jets with 3mm ones, but I can't seem to remove the original jets from the Evo-Lite. I've tried using a Vise-Grip  and also tapping the jet from the bristle side, but they won't budge, although they are turning with the Vise-Grip. Anyone any ideas on how the remove these little buggers?

If all fails drill them out or just buy a brush with fan jets fitted

Tap them from the side you fit the silicon tubing so they pop out through the bristles.

Place a nail or drill bit on the bristle side and tap them out with a hammer

Yup that normally works on Gardiner brushes but with not knowing the X-line I couldn't say .

I ordered a couple of brushes and silly me forgot to change the flocked sill brush to fan jets ::)roll
There are some extra pre drilled holes in the stock of the xline so il stick some fans in there instead.

Pluck out the bristles next to the jets and drill new hole then you can still use the fans when you find out how good they are.
