Title: Leaky aquadapter - How I fixed it.
Post by: RO-Sheen on October 27, 2015, 10:48:31 pm
Just thought I would share it to you as my leaky adapter used to really annoy me and got fed up with soggy feet!  It was leaking from the point where the hose connects into the aquadapter (where the bayonet fitting is)
Simply take the rubber o ring off from the bayonet and add a dollop of grease. put the o ring back on and hey presto..... problem solved!!! Well, it is so far after two whole days since I did it.  ;)

I was going to say bin it and try a one shot remote instead but you fixed it for now.

When mine breaks I will look at the new one but tbh I quite like the existing one. Will be sad when it does finally die on me!

I loved the previous aqua-dapter also, but a lot of customers did not look after it, so i had to keep repairing and replacing parts, this was also due to it being external, easy to damage.
Over the years ive heard the same issues like, "it needs to be shorter"  or  "it needs to be lighter" but it also needs to be totally protected from damage, and universal, hence univalve.

Steven.

I love the aquadapter works really well.
Will buy the new one but I'll probably rig it up somehow, leaving the old one on, so as I can still use the wheel you turn the water on  when you are working close to the house, rather than tugging the end.  Take the spring off perhaps? We'll see.
Really glad there are people on here trying to produce new products for us tho......to all who do- big thank you!!!

If you are going to do that Chez, just put an inline tap at the brush end of pole to keep the weight down...
