Does anyone do it and what is involved ?
-
I think Rhinoman offers this service so hopefully should be able to answer your question.
-
Can you expand a little on what it is you are cleaning?
Ceiling in a room in a house? Or warehouse? Office?
What is the ceiling made from?
How big?
How high?
-
750M2 metal tray ceiling in an empty office , 2.5m high, low soil levels .
Been quoted £3.95/m by a company who say they cleaned a 600m2 office in 3 hours , could have had 10 staff on the job , but it seems very dear to me .
-
Would imagine empty would make it easy...definitely for sheeting up.

£3.95 is a bit dear we normally charge £3.50 but you sounded dodgy!
A good price is not dear - it just makes good business sense to me - I am in business to make a very good profit - I pay very good wages to all of my employees, they drive new vans and have the best and latest equipment. We spend a fortune advertising to help people find us - so really not dear at all.
2 men can do it in a good day! With the right tools and know how ;D
Look on our website pages about ceiling cleaning we do loads - you can easily see what we are doing. No need to sheet up usually.
-
Thanks anyway , I was hoping to sub it out to you but im charging £3 in the end . Ill give 3 men £200 each for the day , buy poles , spray on microsplitter and still make a decent profit .
No sheeting needed as it is empty and we are cleaning the carpets afterwards and it is open plan.
-
So you only asked me to quote so you could find out what we charge and then undercut?
What a time wasting bloodsucker!
It would have been better if you would have been dearer - cheap isn't the way forward and a rubbishy way to do one's business.
-
I had already priced it when I asked what you charged , I would have subbed it out £3000 for 2 men for a days work is way ott even for London.
If I had known what you charge I would have asked for more ! the customer balked at my price anyway , and they are one of the biggest property management companies in the City.
-
We used to get £3k per day back in 2002 for two men in london!
-
I do I'm at sheffield , I wouldn't pay a contractor that myself .
-
And in 2002 I had a company based in Bradford West Yorkshire
Too many in this business are too cheap - making the job harder by cutting costs and no doubt cutting corners in the process :P
And putting this on your website is shameful
Minimum job value £50 – this is for a fully equipped van with the latest equipment and trained staff on board
No way can you have a business that can send a van and a man out for £50 - you must be joking! You need at least £300 plus VAT - are you just earning a wage or running a business
