Title: i might be selling a round in poole dorset
Post by: Jay Le Huray on October 16, 2015, 07:37:51 am
I have not put it on the rounds for sale section yet as i'm still deciding what to do, so im asking some advice before I put it up for sale

I have a round in poole, 55 customers with a value of £921 (about £16/17 per house)
all jobs are in the bh 14,15,16,17 area

I bought them from a canvasser and they have been cleaned twice all done WFP (no trad)
the trouble is finding time to get up there to do them, I used to travel to Weymouth a lot for the weekends and would do them on Friday on my way to Weymouth but now I rarely go there

anyway what sort of price do you think I should be asking for this round, thanks

first thought springs to mind is the customers may not react well to seeing a new face so soon so I would offer to work 2 cleans with the buyer going 50/50 on the wages  :)

I own a window cleaning company based in Poole so could be interested. However, because you have only done two cleans there is little or no goodwill attached which makes their value low and risky. But I would be willing to have an informal chat with you if you wish.

Hi Tez,

You are most welcome to post more often. The more the merrier!

Very good advice - be careful of accepting a needlessly low offer.

I think you will be lucky to get what you paid the canvasser.

You've cleaned them twice on your way to Weymouth, which you did regularly. Now your not going there so often?
Makes me wonder why you had the area canvassed, it can only be 2-3 or 4-5 months ago (if bimonthly)

Good luck with it though
Tony

Hi Jay, I'm also based in Poole and know someone who may be interested.. Do you have any idea how much you want for it?

That's a relief I didn't sleep last night with worry .  ;D hope you sell it and get what you paid back .but you asked for opinions . I wouldn't pay for work that has just been canvassed and only cleaned twice . Too risky . I would work it for a year then sell it . But I suppose it depends if the area is saturated with Windys .
