Title: X-Line Brush Boys?
Post by: Dave Willis on October 15, 2015, 06:27:50 pm
Any chance of another run of special offers coming up?
Want to order another brush soon  ;D

By the way, anyone buying these brushes - watch out! I have found they scrub so well on upvc that some of my frames that I've been cleaning for months are producing milky water where these brushes seem to deep clean them.  :o

No way that brush is making the frames go milky, they must be old frames it would take years on UPVC frames for this to occur. Weight is the thing that has stopped me buying a couple,I normally try every new brush that comes out but they are to heavy if there anywhere near the super lite brush which they are in weight.

They are near perfection!
Mine still looks new after 5-6 weeks of solid action, not a bristle out of shape. In fact, I don't even think its shed a single bristle yet.
For someone who usually destroys brushes very quickly I'm amazed at well the xline is holding up.

What's the weight of the X-line compared to a supreme?

Quite fancy a flocked sill brush but it's a bit pricey - £5 for fan jets - what's that all about? £44 for a brush hmmmm!

I think the xline weighs more than 222g. When I had my xline brush it weighed more like 240g without a socket on it.

How do people find they compare with the sl range?

I prefer flocked but find the sl standard splay splays too much and the outer bristles collapse in to the glass giving less scrubbing power.

I tried the zero splay which scrubs really well but does not get in to the corners or top edge of the glass so well.

The old 15 degree splay brush, which Gardiners no longer sell was a good all round brush. I recently went back to using one I still had and it is definitely better than the standard splay as the head of the outer bristles maintain a fuller contact on the glass.
