No I don't use ionic equipment.
I once got a rude email from them saying I was trying to trade off of their name but it wouldn't work.
Why would I try to trade off of their name - what potential window cleaning customers would have ever heard of them?
:)
-
That seems odd If you don't use ionic kit why is there pics on your site using ionic poles then?
I can see why they got the hump ;D

No probs...It's always best to have your own pics on a site instead of using stock photos ;)

I agree... However stock ones do do the job - our website works well :)
Where are you based Crapinon?

The temptation to call my business "Ironic Window Cleaning" is medium to strong.
Oh, the irony.
Or how about "Sonic Window Cleaning" as it's still only one letter changed?
Tonic anyone?

If we changed one letter on your name it could be:
Walter Titty
;)

Ionics. Iconics, the trademark law says " the same or confusingly similar"
For a budding franchise that is a large gamble, especially as they have been warned in writing of infringement.

My trading name is Iconic Window Cleaning... There trading name is Ionic Systems.
There is nothing confusingly similar about that at all...

I think it's Iconic Window Cleaning, not 'Iconics'... Very different meanings between Iconic and Ionic.
Iconic means something that is revered, which is quite good for a window cleaning name. Not sure what Ionic means..
-
I and my son have always wondered why Ionics had never started a window cleaning franchise.
When I saw this listing I immediately thought that they had done just that. It was only when I went to the website I realized that it was not Ionics.
You can mess around with all the details you like, but the obvious confusion could well be your downfall as a franchise.
You really do need some advice from a franchise lawyer.
-
I think it gets a bit silly, it's not the same name is it, I'm sure they aren't going to loose any work as they are completely diffrent companies one provides the equiptment one cleans Windows haha. If he started selling gear as iconic systems then fair enough but he isn't he's iconic window cleaning.

I come on here and see amazingly obvious business errors being made from franchising, solar panel advice etc which simple, and relatively cheap advice could have avoided.
You can lead a horse to water.................

Maybe Water Titty would be even better? :)

I appreciate your advice Nick, but looking back over some of your posts you seem to have a negative stance on a lot of things?
