Hi I ve been asked to do a quote on a full outside caravan clean including roof. Haven't a clue what to price it at. Any ideas. Also been asked to clean some solar panels and this may be a blonde question but do they need to be turned off or anything.?

Is this a touring or static caravan? I would work out the time it takes and price accordingly.
When I clean my own I use wfp, a short ladder with ladder mitts for the roof and detergent. I found it is a bit like doing a polycarb conny roof. If it's green it takes more time than if done regularly.
When my caravan is on site the site owners will get their staff to give it a once over including roof for £45. It's an old caravan and I just pay them.
Solar panels - make sure they are switched off. Use rubber work gloves too.
In general terms I avoid these solar jobs (and no caravan jobs) - too much like hard work - long poles and heavy work if on anything higher than a bungalow ...

Mr gold - is yours a tourer?
I won't discuss prices on here but you can email me if you wish, I do 5 large sites ( statics ) here and get regular calls for tourers.

It's a small 20 year old Abbey something or another, on a site in Devon. Probably one of the more expensive sites because of its location (down south and in a nice area down south).

First question as a customer I would ask is are you insured properly to clean caravans and solar panels?
I think you will find you can't turn solar panels off as every panel in daylight will still be producing a dc current.

That was not being pedantic either as if you cock up could cost you a small fortune if something goes wrong.

I've cleaned a few park homes (expensive posh caravans) on several sites in my time and the first thing they wanted to see was my insurance policy and the next thing they wanted to see was my rams. Bless em ;D

You can turn off invertor but still live on dc side from panels . Be careful when cleaning caravan windows very easy to scratch as they will be plastic
