Do you get a list of a certain type of customer or somthing?

Why would you think certain groups of people are more likely to buy carpet cleaning than any other.

What you need is a retiring cleaners list.

or a Joint promotion with another company

Eg;
if you bought a mailing list of everyone who bought a baby magazine in the last 6months you could mail them about a healthy enviroment for new born children.

BTW, the best type of list to buy is usually one that looks like your own customer list.

Pick out all your best customers, look for things they have in common e.g. female, aged 40-60, high income, reads broadsheet newspaper etc. - then buy a list of people with the same characterisitcs.

It's expensive, but can be a good way to get into homes you can't reach with leaflets.
