Title: Pole Hose, best for non kinking
Post by: johnny bravo on October 10, 2015, 02:50:18 pm
as again , ive recently noticed my all seasons pole hose has started to kink very badly,   this is my third hose put in my slx  that has started to kink all the time.    when cleaning the hose always has a twist  and a bend in it to slow water flow.
getting really irritating.
is anyone using a good non kinking pole hose apart from gardeners.

Gardiners hose is one of the worst

Aquadaptor pu hose is really good, but like a few other items it's out of stock, going to try the Gardiner hot water hose as that pu rather than pvc

Have you tried using the pole hose on the outside of the poles instead?

gardiners is ok to begin with,     after about 2-3 months it seems to expand and then becomes more prone to kinking.

The blue is in stock.

Wasn't Steve selling the blue as the identical spec as the orange apart from the colour?

The red is in stock

http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/30m-hot-hose-red/

Personally, I prefer the red hose even although we use cold water.

Blue is the same ? Cool I'll get the admin girl to order that instead on Monday

I have the red as well, I think that was sent as a trial a few years back  ;) it's good stuff, but the orange was just a bit better for me.

Thx

Hi Darran,
This is my other site  http://ex-ceedinnovation.co.uk/shop/hoses-connectors/8-mtr-pole-hose/
The hose is exactly the same as our aqua-dapter, just the colour is bright blue instead.
We also have plenty of red hot water hose via aqua-dapter site.
Steven.

I use your blue hose. It doesn't knot bad, but does fold and stop flow. I have to use it for Aqua Dapter. Soft hose doesn't work. See what the new one is like :)

thats what i mean about gardeners all season hose,  it folds over usually about 3 sections in the hose,  you have to straighten it out while cleaning.
Spruce which one are you using,
i may try the blue one   pu

Stevon , what is your policy for customers who have paid for items from yourself and not received them ?

I guess you think it is acceptable to ignore your customers and that solves the problem !

How do you guys manage to use the aquadapter hose? I bought some orange and tried the red - I couldn't coil it up and it wouldn't lay flat on the ground - is there a secret way of using it?

I use 50 metres of aquadapter red POLE HOSE on my reel. (i've got a knackered elbow, so for me it works better than microbore or minibore). I've also got 25 foot of aquadapter orange pole hose on my 25 extreme pole. They are both fairly good and yes they do kink up now and again. I think all hose will kink because it lives on the reel, so its natural 'memory' is not to lay flat. When I get a kink, I unwind the kink, rather than pull it straight. I think you have to accept that all hose will kink (some more than others) and learn to sort the problem quickly and efficiently, rather than get annoyed with it. Having said all that I still fancy some X-line hose.  ;D

Used the orange hose ages ago and found it great ordered the blue earlier today .

Leave hose coiled up in he back of a van every night and over weekends then you will have issues I put my newly bought hose in a bucket of hot water then lsy flat overnight .

Then it gets latex out straight every night and weekend In the garage

First day or 2 it wants to do nothing else but coil - after that it's as good as gold, we hardly ever disconnect so the excess hose goes round the reel

Darran

I got stitched up with £90 worth of this, let me explain.
I use Steve's tubeless pole and the blue hose is superb, so much so I ordered 100mtr to replace the minibore.
Steve was out of stock but had the orange that he said was the same so I ordered it. After the courier failing to pick it up from him twice, (yeah right) some blue hose of inferior quality turned up. It was similar to what you can buy at b&q. I questioned it and was told it was better., so fitted it.
It was crap and lasted a few days and I still use the minibore.
Exceed are only 30 miles away from me and I could have returned it I suppose , Steve said I could.
But then the stuff I buy for work I need to rely on and I rely on those that I buy from.
I would say I won't buy from Steve again but then the bloody Aqua adapter replacement looks the bees knees but I will wait until there is some feedback on them and then buy one under a pseudonym

It was true, the courier did fail to pick the hose up from me, due to the driver leaving his job, (Regular Guy), and not telling me.
So it was a mess around for all involved.
I have some more hose now, so i will gladly send this has a replacement has i want to keep you has well has me happy :)

Sorry but genuine problem.

Thank you. Tony

I was going to order some of Perry Tait's hose, but the cost for it to be sent from Auz put me off. I think Wagga has some of that hose. I'd be interested to see how good it is.
