Wonder what this stuff is? Anyone tried it? http://www.titanlabs.net/gg-glide.htm
-
I used to use it, adds slip on trad glass. AS it says on the tin.
-
I tried it years ago and I thought it was poo,I added more and more and I didn't think it made any difference really. Lanilol I think it's called in detergent is what gives better slip.
-
I thought it was something new - I hadn't noticed it before. :-[

It's been around for years m8,you add a cap full to a bucket and it does nothing TBH.On your fingers it feels like it will work but in reality it does little the closest I get to adding proper cleaning solution is Unger fluid but even then on really dirty glass I'll pour a couple of line of fairy or similar to my sleeve

I use Fairy Liquid, but only the blue (antibacterial) one. I've tried other Fairy versions, as well as Ecover and proprietory solutions such as those by Unger, but I have found nothing to beat it. Results are excellent every time.

i find fairy leves a realy bad resdue on the glass the best ive found is ettore squeegee off leves hardly any resdue u get suds but when u blade the soap off it turns like very watery so hardly any detailing is needed
-
Yeah I used fairy for years and still do sometimes if i run out of unger fluid or squeegee off,you get away with fairy in the winter more than summer with results in hot weather unless you have a new blade in I find. At the end of the day these days coz I pole almost everything I honestly think if I wanted to I could make a bottle of fairy last nearly a year,I fill my bucket up half full on Monday and it lasts most of the week unless I'm doing insides it looks good in front of the customers that's why. I the old trad days we used to change the water when there was more grit than water in the bucket lol

I agree that most Fairy products leave residue or the glide is poor, but not if using the antibacterial one, which I find really works well. My daugher and I cleaned a large house inside and out last Saturday, so I had the perfect opportunity to check the results from both sides. The windows, according to the customer hadn't been cleaned in the 5 years she had lived there. They were immaculate when finished.

If your looking for an additive I would now always go for say Unger or another proper solution especially for insides, they say ecover is as good but i found it to be hardly any different to normal dish cleaner etc. The Unger or squeegee off soap will still give slip without loads of suds everywhere

I used some Unger stuff years ago and it was awful. :o
I use HG these days, used to use GG4 but because it doesn't foam I found it easy to miss bits and not be able to easily see them.
-
I agree it was awful but I thought I'd give it a go 6 or so months ago and it's now better,it foams more although it looks like just plain water in the bucket with a hint of green to it. Works a lot better with liquidators I found liquidators and fairy don't mix well together the amount of suds causes that squeegee to leave lines due to the amount of suds at the edges of the blade

we put ONE DROP of vision in our buckets along with a little bit of fairy and the results are amazing
