Title: Resin Vessel riser tube
Post by: takinatrip on September 22, 2015, 09:59:03 am
Cant find them anywhere. I have a 11ltr resin vessel and for some reason it has suddenly stopped letting water out. I have checked the tube and valves but cant see anything wrong. When I try to put water through nothing comes out of the outlet?
Its never moved and knocked and so cant figure out why this would happen.
Thought maybe worth trying a new tube first.

Good Morning,

If you take the tube apart from the cap, is there a blockage in the cap itself?

We sell the riser tubes separately and have them in stock if you require them - feel free to give us a call or email if required.

Riser tubes vary but......

Check both top and bottom strainers (the things with very fine slits in them) These can get blocked with resin beads- use a tooth brush to clear. Also, some vessels have a mesh filter inside the riser tube itself, you may also want to check that too. I believe that many people have to have their pump pressure turned up far beyond what should be required as a direct result of the above. I clear my DI internal strainers at every resin change and I get my required flow with 100m of 6mm hose with  a flow setting of 2 and pressure setting of 7 on a MK-I digital Varistream. A properly maintained DI vessel (something which seems to be overlooked too often)  should offer virtually ZERO resistance to water flow.

I had the same problem, and was fixed by taking out the mesh valves on each side of the riser ( the inlet and outlet vlaves ) .
Hope you get it sorted.
