Title: This machine any good?
Post by: H20cleaning on September 21, 2015, 01:28:25 pm
I had a crack at pressure washing with a small 5.5hp one years ago and quickly decided I didn't like it due to time it took and the mess it made.
Now 5 years in business I think it's time to offer my customers an extra service with the correct equipment for the job, would you say this is a good all round machine? Along with a flat surface cleaner. Im just looking at residential cleaning nothing major.(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1442838444_image.jpg)

Don't buy anything from jetmac, he will have your pants down. Especially if something goes wrong.

Ring Ben from Rutland Pumps and he will sort you out, his after care is much much better.

The machine is ok, but make sure you buy local if you can for after sales support.
Where are you based ?

Rutland Pumps can send you any items out with next day delivery. Just give him a bell and have a chat with him.

So I can buy that machine I posted and should anything go wrong with it i will be able to get parts from  Rutland pumps?

My dads and brother are pumo engineers etc so they will maintain it for me, I just wanted to know if I'm tied to just using jetmac for after sales

You won't be tied to them no, which is probably just as well.

We could just build you this? For the same price but much better quality.

Are they really that expensive for after sales 😦

The trolleys are flimsy, the quick release couplings don't last very long at all, the hoses burst, the turbo nozzles cost £12 everything bar the pump and engines as cheap as you can get.  The machine I linked in was not an integral unloader, the trolleys are made in Leicestershire and powder coated for protection
Integral unloaders are a right sod when they go wrong and the rebuild kit is expensive. Interpump didn't quite get the seating right in my opinion so it tends to bounce - much better with a VRT and bypass hose or return to tank.

Am not  a fan of them trolley set ups, am guessing that still needs a tank to draw from.

I went for a van mounted one that can be bolted down floor in the van mate, a little bit bigger than 15 lpm, which for the extra few hundred pound is defo worth it,

I got mine off this guy down Leicester ways, which to be honest is not really on my door step, as am in north west, right nice guy he is. Took quite a bit of high pressure hose off him and a fsc, he's answered all my enquiries and helped me along the way. ............... Even after he had my money  ;D

His name ................... What's his name, .......................................... it's gone mate but I will remember 👆⬆️🔼⏫🆙

Hi Ben I didn't realise you had posted a link to one you could build! That looks and sounds perfect for what I need, would you be able to make the lance longer if I pay extra? Or even possibly put it on a reel connected to the machine? Im thinking 20/25m would be better?
Thanks again

Of course - I'm fairly sure we do a reel kit for this machine - see image.
Extra hose is at cost on a machine build to you.

That looks ideal! I will be in touch around the middle of October, how long do they usually take to build thanks

Most builds are next working day - as long as the brackets are in it will be. Other wise an extra day to get them from powder coasters :)
