So i am getting a new van and im wondering what to do about the van floor, in the past i have always used protectacote painted it fairly badly and never recoated it. Havent had a van crumble due to rust damage yet (not b4 its time is up anyway). I have read a bit on here recently about either people not bothering at all and just using rubber mats, people fiberglassing etc..... If i can get away without using protectacote i will as it is a PITA putting it on. Views please....

I don't bother, my systems are leak free and the odd splash of spill won't have any long term effect, after all you drive them in all weathers.
Different should you have a constant leak where water is constantly washing around the back, but who would want to work in conditions like that

i dont normally have leaks either but the lads do sometimes forget when they are filling the tank from static and tank overflows!
