What would you expect to price a job if its going to be 2 man ,truckmount all day....Thanks.

Depends on what you are doing, you can earn a lot more commercially for a two man team than perhaps you can on domestic.

Actually most of our best days - the stand-out ones for earning - are domestics, because we do tend (not always, especially if it's a cinema full of seats, or something) to drop to a day-rate for full-day commercials. Still playing penguin & seeing what happens when someone jumps off the ice & tells us what a good day rate is ;D

On a large commercial 1500-2000 is normal , with a porty once or twice a month .

What's a day 8hrs?
2 of us could do 2 x large 5 bed house in 8 hrs easy do one in 4 hours.
I would want around £350 for a large 5 bed so I could say my day rate is£700
But I would never do 2 jobs this size in a day 2 of us could easy do 6 through lounges in a day if they were in the same area at £85-90 each that around £500
If I was on 1 job for 5 hrs which for me is a normal working day then the amount of cleaning I could achieve would be priced in the £500 range

Hi jason, lots ofmy biggest pay days have been commercial with portys and with the same figures as you quote.Fair play if your getting them every few weeks.
Nice one Mike, thats the way i usually break it down.

With 2 of us on the TM for a 7hr day (hey, that's my all day!) = £800 absolute minimum, up to £1,200 (occasionally more) depending on lots of different factors of course. Couldn't do that on a porty of course.

This is a hard question to answer really,
I tell my helper that his job is to make sure I never put the wand down, if I stop he is not doing his job and he gets a kick up the ar$e.
I tell him we only making money when I am cleaning carpets, not moving furniture, not tabbing chairs, not pre-spraying he does that, all I do is wand.
With this in mind If I spent 5 hours wanding the amount of carpet I would clean is incredible, to put a price to it would be in 3 figures easily.

Kev you say a Porty couldn't earn that but swinging a rag can :D
My best days are always bonneting.

Exactly Dave :) It doesn't matter what system, but we work to a minimum and that's it. Padding can be extremely lucrative like you say.
