Title: How much to pay sub contractor?

Morning

Anyone who pays sub-contractors what would be the going/fair day rate? Sub supplies own van etc. Based in the South.

I would just them what their day rate was, and take it from there.

50-60% of what they get through, depending on how much that is.

Ive just offered my subby £200 for the day he supplies water / van.

North Wales.

Seems fair to me ?

How much work does he do? Do you do all the scheduling, chasing payments etc?

that's sounds like employee ............ no he turns up and cleans alongside me on big jobs too big for me to handle on my own  :)
