Hope these aren't upside down lol , got to clean this conny roof, it's fairly flat and I did scrub a bit with pure and it was coming up cleaner. The question is, which chemicals to make it easier? iv got Virosol, should I used anything else? cheers

Interesting roof you have there...
A strong mix of virosol/tfr/ubik should bring it up a treat 1 part chem 3 parts water

Lol defo an interesting one, iv never actually seen a roof like that! with a strong mix, do I spray it on for like 1 minute and then rinse (so do it in sections) or spray all and let it soak for a bit- or will it stain?
-
I tend to apply through a backpack and scrub as I go.
If you preset it then spray all over it won't have time to dry out, dry scrub all over then start up your water to continue to scrub and rinse - it'll come off in next to no time over that surface the return may need a little extra brush time. Never had any of the chem mentionioned stain plastic

Brilliant cheers pal, hope it comes up nice and clean, it started to take b4 & after pics 👍

Am guessing ......... But it's like rubber/Lino type roof ?
Really slippy when wet, I have a job in Liverpool city centre, the 1st floor windows are done trad off a 8ft wide ledge with this very same floor, similar edges to pic. I cleaned it with virosol and wfp but didn't stay clean for very long as students higher up in building made sure of that

Yeah, it was ...different! lol custy is getting his house valued and putting it on the market and as there is a bedroom window above it, it looks a bit of a mess when looking down, hopefully it will come up nice, iv read in past posts that one or two people left Virosol on too long and it stained the frame orange ?

Looks like a couple that I clean - fibreglass con roof - Viro-sol works best for me, but it'll only last about 12 months before it gets covered in algae again.

Cool, he's putting it on the market so it'll b ok ;D
-
As Darren says!!
Wet it all first - stops the Viro-sol drying out - then spray sections (give it a scrub) then move to next bit and repeat.
Oh! and yes! I've done the orange spots on white frames with Viro-sol on a one off. Luckily it was a rental so zoooooooooomed off and got away with it. Not proud of it but a lesson well learnt.

Lol cheers

I didn't manage to get it spotless, you couldn't see no moss or green but there was marks on it that wouldn't come out.
-
hypo & soap mix should do the trick but you might want to get rid of that sludge in the rain gulley first
-
That's a fiberglass roof and there might be ingrained stains on it that cant be removed, make sure you let the
customer know this before starting.

👍
That would be a last resort but you certainly won't have any discolouration after using the above

Not as clean as I'd like but the stains just wouldn't come out 😀
-
Pretty damn good tho. - 20 years of weathering on it would always mean some discolouration.
Was the customer happy ?
