just took delivery of gardiner back pack how long to charge first time and after that please

You charge it till the green light on the charger lights up then the first couple of charges leave on for another hour or so.

Good idea to watch the Gardiner back pack video as all is explained on there. Excellent bits of kit especially as a soap/degreaser dispenser for deep/treatment cleans.
