Post by: oliver collins on August 26, 2015, 04:48:07 pm
Hi guys
Been encapping for about 5 years and I prespray the carpet and the pad with a bit in the tank to wet the pad not near the edges or near the wall just enough to dappen the pad

Just wondering how much prespray do u use enough so the carpet is white when agitated or not

Sometimes I end up with  carpet fibres on the carpet I asume in those occasinos I am not using enough product
Any advice welcome

On a cut pile you will always get some fibres appearing as you would on a domestic carpet. This is filler pile not bedded into the backing when the yarn is cut.

As for amount to put down I always use a little more than I would when pre-spraying. Enough to bead on the surface.
