Found out today a newbie cleaner managed somehow to drop his guttervac pole onto a brand new Audi TT.
Lets just say the customer was not very pleased as it broke the windscreen as well... Oops!
The young lad was so upset he sat in his van crying too the poor chap... Bless him ;D

Must've been an ally pole then ;D

How did you guess ;D

You been spying on me again ;D

Apparently the reason why he got the job in the first place as it was his mate’s lad just starting out.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when his dad found out what he had done. ::)roll
-
He was lucky as a windscreen is relatively cheap to repair, had it been the roof you would be talking a lot of money !

He was very lucky for sure but still I can't help feeling sorry for the lad though.

I'm sure from now on though he will look down and around him before moving his feet whilst holding his pole aloft ;D

safer with a ladder and bucket

Or is it as I would like to see you try on this one for instance as some properties are a bloody nightmare for ladder access ::)roll
That's why I like to have the option to use both methods as no one method is suited for all jobs.

Smurf on the last pic why did you need the ladders ?

I was clearing a blocked roof valley at extra cost as you do ;D

Might well be but still we can all learn from our and others cock-up’s along the way.
Mishaps can and do happen as is so easy to stumble up/down or over something if you don't look what you are doing. That also goes for using wfp too as I'm sure like me most cleaners have found that out already.
I do hope that does not put the poor young lad off too much and he continues his new business venture.

It wasn't me this time honest ;D

Like yesterday I hit a garden light on a fence with the end of me pole. Oops! ;D

It's the solar powered ones stuck in peoples lawn that drive me round the bend. I've destroyed so many of them it makes me wonder how I've still got any customers. They seem to grow like mushrooms, springing up all over the place thanks to all these £1 stores.

A cleaners nightmare for sure.
Bird baths, plant pots, hanging baskets, ponds, garden steps, sat dishes, free standing sun canopies, tables & chairs, wheelie bins to mention a few are all my pet hates too. Basically anything that gets in my way whilst I'm working ;D

I'm sure I'm going to end up in a garden pond or one of these giant paddling pools one of these days. I've got a couple of houses with ponds dangerously close to the windows. On one I have to hold the pole almost vertical with the brush at 90% as the pond is just too big to reach over. It's a lovely pond, I just don't want to end up in it.

If like me I'm sure you will one day...It’s always handy to carry a dry set of clothing and footwear in the van too ;D
