Right, been through twenty pages on the forum but can't find any post about solar panel cleaning.
Been asked to do 14 decent sized panels next week, never done them before, just wondered what the protocol is? Anyone have tips on the do's and dont's?

Do charge a good price
Don't get electrocuted ;D

There are umpteen threads on this and even more window cleaners who think that they know how to clean solar panels safely. The vast majority are wrong. Window cleaning is not solar panel cleaning. (Cue the riots.)
This is a good place to begin your search: http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=195549.0
Do a search for 'solar' in the last 900 days on the advanced search part of the site and you will need about a day to read all of the discussions.
All the best.
Steve.

Here we go, Mr lurker pops up at the sniff of solar cleaning and strangely links to a 'training course' he runs. How odd :D

There's not a single case of a WFP operator being electrocuted in the UK. Ever. You'll be ok.

Morning Solar Steve ;D

Get yourself a pair of electricians gloves and away you go, its not rocket science.
Plus don't check to see if the panel is live by touching it with your tongue. ;D

& boots too. ;D
Will also help if you don't use a pole that conducts electricity and mind overhead high voltage cables too as one of rhinoman workers found out to his cost.
