Hi everyone, long time no see!
So, after a nightmare few weeks with windows laptops, updates and a dead hard drive I have absolutely had it with windows laptops and Microsoft.
I've pretty much decided I'm gonna treat myself to an Apple MacBook tomorrow.
I've been using Window Cleaner Pro for over 5 years now, but I'm pretty sure I can't use it on Apple products.
So, which would be the best window cleaning planning software that I can get for use on an Apple MacBook?
I'm a one man band, not looking to employ any time soon, and I don't mind paying for the best quality.
I would need to be able to transfer my data from Window Cleaner Pro to my new program.
I have an iPhone 6 plus and a wifi only iPad that I could use in my van for work.
So guys, what advice and thoughts can you offer me please?
Many thanks
Dave

CleanerPlanner! admittedly the only software I've ever tried, but I'm sure I'll never look elsewhere

Cleaner planner works fine with apple, it's everything WCP could have been
Do some searches both on here and Google you won't find anything better to run your business

I find cleaner planner works better on a PC.
It works just fine on a Mac but, as with most tasks, a good PC is better.

Ok thanks guys, so is cleaner planner better than aworka?

Personal preference Dave,
I use Aworka but have had two goes with cleaner planner. (Rob must think I'm a nutter)
As a sole trader I find Aworka suits me and is only £100 a year if paid in advance.
Both are equally well supported with cleaner planner offering more in the way of updates and Rob is very quick to tweak it to suit it's members needs.
Both offer a free trail and both will import your client base
You will love the Mac though whichever software you choose

Doh I was tight and just got a MacBook Air lol

It will just be better processor and the keys changed about. So they go to edge.
Air is a good choice tbh
-
I used Aworka for 3 yrs then switched to CP as i felt i had outgrown Aworka i am a sole trader and CP works great for me with the Text service and GoCardless intergration .
-
I tried cleaner planner and didn't like how slow it is to use, just because the masses on here bum it doesn't mean its the best for everyone, I am sticking with window cleaner pro

Cheers, that's what the Apple genius said, I don't need a super fast processor so I went for the Air over the Pro as it was £200 cheaper.

Hi Scrimble
I don't think Wcpro is an option on a Mac.
Can you give me more info on why/how it was slow to use?

CP slow ??? ??? like all new things they take time time to get used to but never found it slow , The big leap for me to CP was the Gocardless integration i have over 80 custys on GC and using CP makes it simple to collect monies owed .
Automated texting customers the evening before cleans through the worksheets once set up , The simple comprehensive worksheets downloaded on to phone via mobile app their is so much to mention it would take to long .
Aworka was lagging behind the app outdated and a little stone age and the desktop version was lagging behind as well for me although i found it great for the years i used it and if i did'nt need the two key things mentioned above i would have stuck with Aworka .

I just thought it was slow every time you click on something it takes a couple of seconds to go to the next bit because its based in the internet browser, where as wcp is instant
there might be good benefits like go cardless and having your worksheet on your phone which wcp you cannot do, but I think there is nothing wrong with printing off the worksheet on paper and writing on it,
I like wcp, it works for me and my business, I tried cleaner planner but wasn't that keen on it, maybe because I am used to wcp and cleaner planner is new I don't know
I have over 1k of regular customers so changing software is a big thing ,

Will you find it simple / easy to transfer all your data from WCP ?

Just give CP a trail it's well worth it even the basic/starter package .

Thanks again. Dave
