Would be no harm to post this on the general cleaning board. Those boys will know how to get it off.

It would take forever to scrap it off and run the risk of scratching

That's a good idea, was hoping for something which will kind of melt all the crap off the frames and glass

You would be better leaving to the cowboy who did it to clean up.   If you are really brave ( stupid ) you need to find out which particular sealer they used so you van choose which solvent to clean it with.

Probably xylene but that might melt the PVC too. You're getting into quite specialised cleaning if you take it on. Make sure you charge very well. Anyway those guys on the general board will know.

Hi Shrek, we have a product called Bio-Kleen adhesive remover which you can use in combination with microcleaning hand pads, this combination will remove the patio sealer safely from the glass and pvc surfaces, just rinse afterwards with trad or wfp, if you want me to send you more info email   info@jskcleaning.ie   regards  Tadgh

I would use a scraper on the glass but for the upvc frames I would go and get a solvent cleaner from any upvc supplier

1 x 750 ml bottle with be about £3 don't dilute or mix with water just put it on a dry cloth and rub, won't do no harm to leave it on a few mins to loosen the sealer and get the frames clean. If u try to scrape the frames u will damage them no end

You could some serious damage, and be liable for the cobs damage !
I would walk away, even if it meant losing the customer

im lazy these days.i wouldnt even try and clean it off.you could make it even worse.sealant is terrible stuff once its on frames.a few of my customers have it on front door sills where the sealant has splashed from having a  new driveway.

apart from the cleaning of general dirt on maintenance window cleaning and algae/lichen on plastics/gutters/conny roofs with virosol/cream cleaner i dont do any other types of cleaning.

HOWEVER!if this tadgh fellah had a proper website for his specialist cleaning products(and they work!)i would stock up and buy them for such jobs and charge accordingly for "specialist cleaning" ;D

Something doesn’t sound right to me as I've never heard of anyone applying sealer through a pressure washer before and I would have questioned that for a start. They sound a right oddball to me and why did they not take it further with the contractor in the first place?

Yes windows can get splattered with dirt using a pressure washing so should be explained beforehand and should be made good in the cleanup process. Regarding sealers I've never splattered sealer on windows or frames as I use a roller/brush not a sprayer to eliminate spray drift.

Myself in this case I would not get involved in trying to resolve something that they claim to have been caused by someone else.

We pressure wash and seal, and it ie evil stuff, if you dont mask up properly it causes big problems on over spray !          My advice would be to tell the customer you  cannot remove it, as it is a specialised job.
