Klindex latest addition to their range in stock at Tiling Logistics

I have a Tomcat Edge which is very similar.
Great machines. Especially with melamine pads on for cleaning altro flooring and porcelain tile.
-
Jamie
Can I borrow it because I want to compare it against the Klindex
-
No problem. Freight will cost a bit though as its a heavy beast.
Especially if you want the weights that take it to nearly 100kg.
I have it set up for both wet and dry use.
-
got a link to it jamie?
-
;D - Not strictly the safest use of the machine but here it is being surfed by an 8 year old sanding scratches out of marmoleum.

Jesus that is a lot more than the price of the Klindex
The Klindex costs around £2395 including VAT after trade discount
-
That will be because its from Europe and not the USA with all the duty etc.
They should go well as the system is really good.
A few guys will have seen the Tilemaster machine which works in the same principle.
This is just bigger with more weight.
I received my normal trade discount off of the above pricing which still doesnt make it as competitively priced as the Klindex..

You can buy the Klindex in 20" or 28" it weighs 42KG or 48KG respectively. You can then add the individual extra weights to it at 6.5KG increments each to a maximum of 6 or 10 with the longer bolts and that brings it up to a Max of 81 or 87 KG. with short or 107kg to 113kg with long It is available with:
Floorpads, all colours,
Klindex Supershine Diamond Pads Hard or Soft
Concrete Grinding Pads,
Mesh Screens
Sanding Discs
Brushes for Carpet, Hard Floors and Tynex
Micro Fibre Pads
Extraction Kit
Water Tank
It does, Stone, Marble, Linoleum, PVC, Wood, Rubber, Concrete, Parquet, PVC , Resin & Painted Floors.
I think it will be an absolute winner for polished concrete but we need to complete trials before shouting too loud! It also has a 6 Way Oscillating Pad. I will let you know my thoughts on it after the trials but I certainly would like to do a straight comparison against both if we can arrange it!

That looks a great machine Kevin and answers the corners problem which is always a bug bare. Will it work on vic or quarry tiles for stripping? This is where most of my work is.
Have you seen the tilemaster machine? I am going to the NCCA carnival to see it but would appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you

The Tilemaster is the Rug Doctor of the Tile world. Naturally it will probably do alright as has the Rug Doctor. You have to ask yourself though how many Pro CC's would buy a Rug Doctor? Hopefully the same answer will come from Hard Floor Restoration Professionals. Enough said hopefully ;D ;D
-
Thank you Kevin, that thought did strike me.
Thanks for your answer, would it be good for striping seal off of vic tiles or natural stone.
Thanks again Jon

I have been looking at this machine for a while. Does it really have the capabilities that are claimed? Can it grind stone? Can it Sand wood? What are the drawbacks or the limitations. Does anyone have one or used one?
-
Sorry to stick my finger here. Thought would be good to add another alternative for consideration.
See excentr.com
In my opinion those guys from Netherlands have delivered a really good product also.
What differs it from the rest is how well it is built. Price is good.
I looked into most (not used klindex though) and my personal choice is excentr.
Still on smaller scale I buy tomcat nano as its not as tall as other machines of its kind. This helps getting under things to get the job done.
-
Yes I looked at it as well but although the build quality is good it has a couple of issues and it is expensive. They want me to sell them but nothing will convince me on an oscillating flat pad machine compared to a rotary especially now as the Klindex Bella has been launched

Looks interesting, thanks.
What do you use your machine for?
Are heavy oscillating pad machines as versatile as they appear to be?
I assume Kevin doesn't want to sell me one.

I would never refuse to sell you one. We have sold a few already, my point is they are IMHO limited. Strangely I think the Mini-Power is brilliant for things like stairs, tight areas etc especially when you fit it wit a Delta Head. Same machine just a lot smaller. Don't forget this technology is not new the Klindex Mini Power has been around about 10 years!!!
-
Robin
our use is very specific - escalator plates.
In my opinion it will never replace proper task dedicated machines like pallmann cobra or klindex levighetor for example.
My personal take on it is that's another lets say hos orbot which we use also - good for light duty multitasking.
