Did you extract first with clean water before anything else?

I had two jobs last week,  a lot worse than what you have show.  Extracted with warm water, then spayed down with Citrus pre spray, agitated then extracted, everything came out.  Went over with dynamall, lightly bonneted carpets came up great.

Had the owners tried to remove the stain before with anything?

What was the ph of the bathroom cleaner? Looks like it has browned out the carpet. After rinsing out the remains of spill  I would have treated it with browning prescription or coffee stain remover.

Really To be honest you have ignored the actual stain and just cleaned the carpet as though it wasn't there.

Thanks for the comments, it's was my first attempt and my parents, as got my kit at the weekend , I wasn't sure if the bathroom spray would of damaged the fibres , I shall go and retry the main stain, once I have found out the ph of the cleaner
