Am in Liverpool mate, and wen the time comes for it to be serviced, I would rather pay the p&p and send it to Ben at Rutland pumps,

This way I know it will be looked at properly

What needs servicing? Oil change, spark plugs? Repairs ? maybe replacing a snapped Pull cord

They are a basic engine any lawnmower engineer or agricultural engineer would be able to handle any work. Also Look for a plant hire company who hires out  equipment with petrol engines, most offer a repairs service.

Or just scrap it and buy a new one

Smaller basic things are manageable, but getting parts speedily or a repair done is the issue.
Got one water filter housing base that's cracked ( now found supplier for that). But have a machine that cuts. Off after running under full load for a while symptoms as if fuel starvation these are the sort of things I could do with help with.

Water filters are simple and cost around a tenner for a complete one.
Diagnosing engine faults is rather more complicated, how recently has the plug been changed? Has the tank filter been done or the carb jets cleaned etc :)

Carb jet has been blown through by me using pipe on carb fuel inlet and blowing don't know if that's sufficient ? Plug not been change though and where is the fuel filter, in the tank?

Filter is in the lowest part of the tank about an inch long - always worth checking it you can see it through the filler hole with a torch. :)

Thanks for your help. Again have blown back through the tank so don't think it's that. Couldn't see in tank as was outside and dead sunny But could do to take tank off clean out then remove carb and investigate that further.
Thanks.
Craig.

See Ben who's posting help to ye, he's newish on here and alls he does is help us guys out. Yes I bought my machine off him before he even came on here and I will always be using him for as long as am in business.

Reason

You just get what you need and no bull 💩 along the way

Like I says mate p&p will prob be £40 or there abouts and you know you can trust him to sort the machine out.

At the bottom of his post is his number......... You won't be dissapointed

How near are you to your nearest honda lawn and garden agent? If your engine is less than 3 years old they will look at it for you :)
