Has anyone made (Dragon Fly Internal Window Cleaning System) by using an unger extended pole and a pump rather than spending £800 on this dragon fly (far too expensive for what it is).
-
Not actually made one mate but it's pretty straight forward by the look of it.
I wouldn't be wanting to pay the price of a dragon fly kit without at least having a go at DIY first.
-
All a Dragonfly kit does is spray a small amount/ mist of pure onto the high level interior glass so what ever you do
don't buy one. (Total waste of money)
Buy a pad holder from Vikan plus pads (other pads are available so the choice will be up to your own preference) buy a pole adaptor, you can then use your exterior pole. (I think most of the window cleaning suppliers sell them)
What you do is spray a pad with pure and clean the glass using as little water as possible, you then take a dry pad and polish/dry
the glass, job done.

I have already got the Vikan holder and pads... Got an unger extendable pole. I would never buy the dragon... complete rip off on price.

Then that's all you need, just damp a pad clean the glass and use a dry pad to polish off. It not so much that its a rip off more
that its just a stupid idea/ invention as it really serves no sensible purpose.

Its another one off these silly gimmicks designed to snare newbies, I was one off them Im sorry to say. :-[

With the likes of the dragon fly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmeUMopD7AY
and others being sold simular I see the main advantage is being able to mist and wipe at height without bringing the pole down so saves time.
Parts wise to add this mist function to a wfp I suppose is very easy to diy by buying bits from the likes of fleebay
All you would need is a chepo pump, small battery & charger, Pole triger & fine spray nozzle then decide how you want the water and bits setup be it a bottle on a belt etc.
You can buy pad holders and pads from a few well know named brands like Unger http://www.ungerglobal.com/uk/default/video-indoor-window-cleaning-kit
Vikan easyshine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxoOj1s1yrc
etc
