So , part of a round I bought had some flats that were really cheap, so I put them up- double- they hadn't been put up in 10 years!!! anyway , they said no thanks . There loss 😎
-
That must be a record to loose 5 in one day ;D
Can anyone bet that? ::)roll
-
Forgot to say - they didn't want to pay more then £3!!!!!!
-
I think you have to set a minimum price for a clean. In my opinion £3 is way too low. I don't know how anyone can survive on this sort of money.
-
how many times had you cleaned them befor putting them up.
if too soon they will drop you as they have not got to know and trust you.
get to know your customers.
this will give a space for someone else to muscle in.
but maybe not if too cheap
-
Sounds like you brought a pile of poop of a round going by those prices.
Even at 6 a flat monthly seems cheap to me.
What are the other jobs priced up like?
Forgot to say - they didn't want to pay more then £3!!!!!!

Lost 2 in a day, but they were proper losses.
£3 wtf, it would cost me 50p in pure plus fuel etc, you would be better off on the dole...literally

The rest are ok , i just got sick of doing them , I told them I'm not making any money from cleaning them and iv spoke to the previous window cleaner and they haven't been put up since 2005! It's old granny's who live there, easy job but they just don't see their windows being cleaned worth over £3! I think they'r stuck in time lmao

I shouted over to another windy if he wants them for £3 a go, he said 'front & back?? £3??...err no thanks 😎
Once they realise the price has actually gone up in ten years, they'll have a shock. I told them they'r free to get quotes of other windys

The old one's can be very sly too as they don't like parting with their money if they don't have too.
Just one look is all it takes and the next thing you know they get the job done for next to bugger all the crafty devils. ;D

I can, but it was my choice. Idon't think I've lost more than 2 in a day myself - except for the day I lost about 20 - but that doesn't count because they were all subcontract commercial jobs from one source.
-
Being dumped by customers I meant as we all have dropped work for one reason or another.
I take it the subby work was pants money then and/or you got messed about getting paid?

I'm sure they will if they find the right cleaner that is only after a bit of pocket money

Neither. Some of them good, some not so good. It averaged about right. I subbed them from a general cleaning company. After a few years he decided to buy a WFP van and get one of his PAYE guys to do them. I imagine it was more profitable that way because the guy did general cleaning for him too. It was a pretty big hit for a sole trader - as I took between £400 and £550 a month from them depending which jobs fell that month. I made it up eventually, but in £15 - £25 houses so there's a lot more micro-management.

That's what I was thinking, il take a risk and put them up, if they don't agree then fair enough, il get some better priced work to replace ( some £4 flats! Lol ;D )
