Title: Reasonable public debate
Post by: therapist on May 04, 2006, 08:08:45 am
The post .....Yeah I did it got me thinking.........

While we should avoid personal attacks, there must be a licence to allow people to express themselves particularly when an obvious threat is perceived.

There was a well publicised statement in the 1960's  by an intelligent MP who had the foresight to see a very serious threat to the UK, BY FAILING TO CONTROL IMMIGRATION.

If someone feels their liveliehood is threatened by immigrant labour working for low rates of pay, they should be able to shout very loudly about it...........

We are far to complacent in this country and are already being humiliated by being forced and brainwashed into accepting behaviour and practices which will very quickly become the law...........some already have..........and it's you and I who are being forced to change, not the incomer with their alien cultures and ways......

To be aware of whats going on and ignore it, is worse than any so called racist comments........

In recent years, this countries government has conned the public, with propaganda on several fronts, with the objective of  '' normalising '' a number of practices and forcing beliefs on our children, which are not only in conflict, with our historic beliefs and values, but detrimental to the British establishment.

I was shocked, a few days ago, when discussing the behaviour of football fans, particularly, the religious divide which exists with Glasgow Rangers, a strongly Ptotestant / British heritage and Glasgow Celtic, a strongly Catholic / Irish heritage, both of whom exist and prosper through constant referral to historic events.

What shocked me.....was the fact that our 17 year old son was'nt even aware that Protestantism was an evolved form of Christianity.

When attempting to educate him and explain that there was very little difference in the beliefs of the two branches of Christianity, he seemed unable to grasp the concept.

They don't teach Christianity in school in case it offends a minority of others..............WHAT ABOUT THE MAJORITY.

Think I'd better stop

Oooh, don't get me started . .. my finger are twitchy . . !

I could rant on for hours about the benefit system, lack of respect, ignorance, stupidity, chavs, violence, schools, political correctness, illegal immigrants, compensation culture, benefit fraudsters, tax dodgers . ..

Better stop now.

Hi

May I beg a question...?

If you are being Racist (making Racist comments) you can be prosecuted by law

But...

Section 10 of the Human Rights Act states that you are allowed Freedom of Expression without the intervention of Public authority...?

Which Law would be relevant?

Or , even better, we could post a poll, then lock the topic so nobody can have their say, that way we can start a topic and leave it while the goings good, (or just plain bail out while we still can)or would that be seen as cowardice? Andy

The bit about the locked thread that really got me was, Gary was accused of being racist without having a chance to defend, his comments.
