Title: FAO Vin - perfect windows
Post by: Smudger on June 21, 2015, 06:20:19 pm
Sorry, I've done a search but can't find the info I was after,

If memory serves Vin you use a di resin bottle full of activated carbon before your RO ?

Could youtell me the size of the bottle and how long it lasts plus any links with info/ purchase

Cheers

Hi Darran,

I use a 35" or so by 8"

Acid washed charcoal - 25kg about £140, I think, from Gaps

I've replaced it annually (about 400,000 litres, I think) and all's been well.  Three fills from a sack of charcoal (you fill to about 60% full)

IMO you need a particle filter after the charcoal - some bits do get through.

Mine's after the booster but next fill I'm swapping it for better pressure into the RO.

Hope that helps.

Vin

Ace !!!

Thinks it's time to stop prating around with 20" carbon block filters
