You need to waste water valve to adjust your waste/pure ratio
Search some back posts, they'll be a few concerning the valve

If your ro 40/40 is working correctly it should be around 60% waste,40% to tanks. A water pump speeds up the process ( around 200 litres an hour to tank) and reduces your waste to pure ratio.
Hope that helps

Do you recommend a water pump then?

Definetely, clarke 240e from machine mart. Around 300 quid but worth it, plus it cuts out if the water stops.
