Title: Thieving lowlife scum!
Post by: robert mitchell on June 15, 2015, 07:16:07 pm
It seems somebody took it upon themselves to steal the double extension for my extreme 25 from the back of my van .....im guessing while i was round the rear of a property . :'(

This would have been either in locks heath/whiteley or hedge end areas , if anyone body is offered one for sale i would be interested to know.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/telescopic-poles/xtreme-telescopic-pole/xtreme-extension-35.html

same as the above link but sensate have the metal bands ..........its not even any use if you don't have an extreme 25 already .

its basically just  a two section telescopic extension.

Just saying, you haven't left it at a job or on a bush? Done it a few times myself.

There are scumbags that will just open your van doors and grab anything handy they can find, they more than likely
don't even know how much the item is worth.
It would be worth a quick look around the hedges and verges in the area you think it was grabbed just to see if its been
dumped.

has anyone considered attaching a gps tracker device on there poles or other expensive equipment,  you can get quite small ones, perhaps they could be taped to the pole in an area near a tap or clamp. for less than £20 could be worth it ???

Some of these thieves can be real quick too. I lost three sets of ladders a few years back in the space of about two minutes. Took them off my vehicle and put them out of sight in the alleyway at the back of my home whilst I cleaned it (they were locked whilst on the vehicle).  Went indoors for some more water and to use the loo midway through the clean, came out and they had gone. I never heard a thing and never saw another vehicle. They must have been watching me but I never saw them.

I use two Dash Cams in my Van.  One for driving in Cab and one discreetly  installed inside back of van

Sorry for you and to hear that.
Gps trackers and dash cams are all very well but won't prevent things getting nicked in the first place - and the inconvenience will probably out weigh its true value.
Its a shame that more now than ever ( it seems ), we need to be so vigilant to petty and opportunistic crime. I know a customer of mine who had left her mobile on front seat whilst paying for petrol and had it nicked.
I'm just as slack as the next person when it comes to always locking van doors but I guess the motto is to lock it or lose it.
We should all take heed.
