Having been a member of this forum almost since it started there have been hundreds of wfp ideas and inventions posted, some totally crazy and some sensible.
Which ones stick in your minds the most?
Ones I remember were
I think it was Phil Hansons backpack, long before the garden sprayer backpacks became popular.
The electric golf cart wfp and the wfp set up on an old wheelchair.
The trailer hitch that attached to back of car and held the wfp trolley.
The swing arm from roof of the van which held hose over the footpath, preventing folk from tripping over it.
Those wee plastic things that someone invented to put on corners of tyres and walls to stop your hose snagging.
There are loads more tell us which you remember, and if any of those responsible for the above, still have the old pictures could you please post them as well.

Yup I remember most of those. All in fact except Phil Hanson's backpack thingy.
Anyone remember "The Kettle" which was a chap in Frome Somerset with a Quad Bike pulling a hot water system on a trailer? He spot welded a kettle to the top of it and wrote it's name on the side.
Brilliantly whacky! Or whackingly brilliant!

The WFP wheelchair - whose was that? It was funnier than it was useful but I sat here looking at that thing laughing with tears running down my face.
How about the auto-brush? That was pretty cool in its day. Ive still got mine in the van. Weighs more than a Gardiners 45' pole and brush all by itself.

What happened to him, he just melted away and seemed to stop posting.

Jeff Brimble was the wheelchair man.

Maybe it wasn't Phil Hanson who did the back pack... Could have been jeff brimble coz that looks like it in the back of that van haha
-
The funniest one I recall wasn't actually real. It was an IBC tank photoshopped to look like it was on a car roof rack :) .
-
Didn't someone come out with a wheelie bin trolley system or something?
The electric wheel chair idea, I can still remember cracking up about that. The worst bit was it seemed to work though.

Kevin? he's still about - last time I saw a picture he had two bicycles welded together with a massive tank suspended between them ;D ;D
Turned his quad into a snow plough - never snowed since!
Nice chap, company called Life On A Ledge

Jeff Brimble used to use electric golf trolleys with a flower pot on the bottom to store modular poles I think. Bound to be some pictures about.

Slip n Side. Still around. I bought a set of those and still use them from time to time

At this time I thought this was a brilliant idea. However, time has shown that its easier and sufficient to run the pole across the pavement with a warning sign.

Didn't he start towing his trailer with his missus' Fiat 500?
It looks like the business has grown quite big, so maybe his whacky (in a nice way) approach has paid off. I'm sure it was also him that added hot water to his trailer system with a gas stove to cook his breakfast as he went along.

I found a picture of it. There is his kettle at the top of the picture another poster mentioned.
