Title: What's the difference between Ubik2000 & Virosol?
Post by: Cookie on June 11, 2015, 07:48:20 pm
I was just wondering if there was any any difference between Ubik 2000  & Virosol? Looking at the descriptions on eBay they seem to do pretty much the same thing.  Any ideas? Which do you prefer using?

What about TFR, how dose this compare with UBIK and Virosol. I know there are different types/qualities of TFR on Ebay but if you where to compare one at £20.00 for 20l with Virosl at £30.00 for 20l ??

Thanks for your updates. I guess Virosol is probably a good bet to start off with then ....

Used to use Ubik, now use virosol. I reckon the cleaning power is pretty much the same. The main difference is that Ubik must not be left to dry or you'll have a nightmare getting it off. Virosol can be left to dry without problems.

We use both, not just window cleaning but every day cleaning.

UBIK is a brilliant degreaser and will clean just as well as Virosol but just doesn't smell as nice.

There's not a lot in it to be honest; even price wise.

I live very close to main agent.
He said UBIK is a traffic film remover, Virosol isn't.
He asked what I did and said Virosol is much stronger

Different ph.  Virosol acidic and ubik is alkaline. Useful for their  different ph values.

Virosol has a PH of 12.8

UBIK 2000 has a PH of 13.4

I emailed clover in 2013-14 and asked the same question.

Basically the MAIN difference was one if safe to use in food prep areas the other isnt advised but is considered "OK" to use.

When i asked them what i was cleaning they said UBIK 2000 was far better suited.

As for staining. I have had staining 3 times with virosol and never with UBIK 2000

Just read the safety data sheets on both - not particularly pleasant  :o
