HI,
What sort of extension leads/reels do you use? As I just plugged my in staircase and when I ran my Storm it stopped after 3 seconds. Apparently it's a plug got blew up as every single on this certain staircase doesn't work since then. Any advice please?

Has it just tripped the fuse for all the stair sockets ?
Can't see what the extention cord had to do with it, sounds like you just had a low ampage socket which tripped because you pulled too much power. I always try and use the kitchen socket next to the big red cooker switch.

You need a heavy duty extension, usually caravan stockist sell them. They are expensive but work.
Make sure you always fully unwind any reels as they over heat.
I do that then run the storm off that and plug Heater into the nearest socket.
Even though your machine might not trip electrics by having it run off an inferior cable or two on one socket you are causing damage to your machine.

Well I have plugged my extension reel to one socket at that staircase. And then ran storm plugging its two cords.
At that time I didn't use heater at all.
The extension reel is pretty simply one 13amp and I believe it's 1.5mm cord. All fused.
As I mentioned in previous post just once I switched on motors it ran and cut off after 2-3 seconds. After all none from 4 sockets at that staircase worked.
Mike it seems like ye all socket fuses got tripped. I'll try different ones tomorrow but also I'll separate power source for each Storms cord.

I got advice from Cleansmartsuppiles guys.
Basically it's a communal staircase to separated flats and sockets over there have weak fuses which are placed there for a reason such as to prevent tenants of certain flats from stealing electricity.
That's why my storm knocks out all of them.
I have tried it again with two extension leads today using two sockets on the next staircase and again Storm ran fine at first but when I switched it off and switch on It didn't turn on. I checked sockets by plugging in different appliance to inspect issue and obviously there were no power in two used sockets...
Weird as if you'll get a contract for cleaning staircases you might have troubles with ekectrecity.
Might portable power unit make a trick.

The ampage is restricted to communal stairways to prevent people in the flats plugging in and running all there personal stuff off them. They are usually rated 6 amps, enough to run a Henry type vacuum or power tool which is all the designers envisaged them being used for.

No. I used two extension leads mate

If you are doing communal staircases you might try knocking on a couple of doors and offering to pay to use electricity, i've done and it cost me a fiver ;D

Simon if you give the guy/gal a spotter bottle as you ask for the electric link then hey who knows they might use it while you are there and be impressed enough to give you a wee jobbie...................Alan(Swindon)

No. I used two extension leads mate
Probably only need one 2.5mm extension for a storm , but plugged into a good power source of course .
