Title: Spring v 11 controller
Post by: Small but perfectley formed on June 07, 2015, 07:22:41 pm
How do you increase the pressure anyone?
It also keeps pulsing the pump when it's DE is this normal ,the controller is on a trolley system with shurflow pump and pole with trigger.

Pulsing is normal

To change the pressure/calibrate the controller, you can do it yourself or get it to do it automatically...

You have 3 buttons on the controller face
Press and hold the left and right of the 3 until 'cal' is on the screen.

*Scroll all the way down until you get to 'aut'
Press enter (the right button of the 3)
After a few seconds the controller will settle on a number*
(Skip this if doing it manually)

Select a number/pressure setting
Press enter
Controller calibrated

Thank you Don for covering this.
Small but Perfectly formed  Please see the following link to a you tube video showing how to calibrate
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kKoskb7l7c&index=15&list=PLUpfSwT7wIhfyiM-jbIDJPoH0UlNQZL9y

The controller does not directly effect the pressure in system.  System Pressure is generated by the pump, hose line, Jets and other restrictions in system: This article gives an over view https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/pressure-dynamics-wfp-system-ian-sheppard?trk=mp-author-card

As Don comments the pulsing is the controller carrying out a Dead end test (Flow stopped) Once the controller is calibrated to your system stooping the flow means the controller will stop  (DE) the pump. While the flow is stopped the controller will every three seconds re test to see if flow has been restored. To do this the controller pulses the pump for a fraction of a second if flow is restored then teh control will restart the pump if not the pump remains in DE
