Wondered if you could advise me on the best place to buy replacement membranes. I run a 300gpd RO-Man system with a booster pump to increase pressure. Three months ago after struggling with poor water production & a worn pump I replaced the booster pump, pre-filters & both membranes (bought from ebay). Water production was fantastic I was filling up my 1000 litre tank in the garage in under 24 hours. But that must have lasted no more than 6 weeks. Since then I have been struggling to produce enough water for myself to work full time & my son to work part time. My water production has dropped to around 400 litres a day & I fear it is probably damaging my booster pump.
So my question is where do you guys recommend to buy new membranes from & what kind of money should I be spending? Last lot were pretty cheap at £56 for both but it seems you get what you pay for, also how long should I realistically expect them to last?

My pre filters last about 6 weeks then production slows down. My tap tds is only about 50.
What's your tap tds and pre-boost pump pressure?
-
Tap TDS is around 120 & my pressure is about 35 I think, but that's from memory as I haven't tested it for years.

Yeah, should definitely be lasting longer. I'd change the pre filters first and see if it improves. I keep a stock of 5' 5 micron sediment filters and change them ever 4-6 weeks. They are only a coupe of quid.

£56 for 2 membranes is mega cheap.
I use these, they last 12 months+

Replace them with the Gaps water 150 litre membranes these will increase product water. Don`t look at cheap quality e bay crap these Gaps are not expensive anyway and are impressive.

I honestly cant see your pre filters slowing your water production down that much but then like has been
said try another set to see if it improves.
I would say your booster pump has started to give up.
The thing with membranes is they don't slow down when done they just stop filtering the water and the TDS rises.

That's not what happens to mine. Mine just slows down.
