Title: Inside cleans
Post by: chris@c.m.s on May 03, 2006, 12:59:16 pm
I did my second inside clean today and found it almost as much a nightmare as my first one which happend to fall on the  hottest day of last year, Anyway today I was up against windowlene on the kitchen window which eventually I gave up on, Then upstairs windows that had paint flaking off and going everywhere, The customer also forgot I was coming was still in bed then in a hurry to get out, Now I enjoy my window cleaning but inside cleans I could easily turn down  does anyone else refuse to do them or pass them on to another cleaner?

They are a nightmare, But I always charge double, and make them clear there window cills of all items, one of the reasons I charge double is because i hate doing them, and at double the price most customers arn't so quike of the mark for repeat cleans, so if you must do it, at least you getting good pay for it.

When i do inside cleans i allways do them first thing in the morning before the sun is really beating down and the glass is not too warm.If you do clean them in the sun you willl have to use your applicator and squeggee at the same time or the water will judt dry before you get your squeegge to it

I avoid them like the plague. I usually end getting uptight and irritable because they never seem to be straight forwards and they also take ages to do.

We do some but they tend to be for our more wealthier customers. We usually charge 3 times what the outsides cost.

Ok thanks guys I think like Ross I'll start avoiding them and if possible pass them on, The one today was done quite early in the morning and I charged double but still I'd just rather not have to do them, When I have enough work for my son to join me I'll send him in to do them and let him keep the money ;D
