Crocs.... But you look a bit of a numpty
-
plain doc marten shoes.
give em a wipe with an already used bit of towelling and they look nice and shiny for your next job.
shallow treads don't collect crap.
comfy.
2 years and lots of life left in current pair.

agree, crocs, you need one indoor pair and one outdoor pair......... yes they look a bit numptyish, but so so comfortable for working in........... dont go buy cheap copies, buy crocs........ proper crocs, big difference!

buy plastic over shoes very cheap and customers love them

i have always worn plastic overshoes - i have come to the conclusion though the problem is for quite a few hours of the day you have your feet in a non breathable plastic bag and its really not great for ya feet!
crocs seem the way to go but just can't get my head round wearing what i see all the retireds doing their gardening in!!

i buy these, if you only do carpet cleaning they will last at least 3 years, mine lasted 14 months but i regularly use floor strippers on hard floors, they are the most comfiest boots ive ever worn, (pillows for your feet ;D )ankle support is amazing and they have a fantastic quick release (no laces) locking mechanism for super easy on and off.
highly recommended

Crocs :o why on earth would you wear them ? from an H&S point of view drop your portable on your toe and you are in big trouble , or even a 6lt mix of cleaning product , Dickies safety boots for me every day.
-
Paul, hows Dickies on the wet floor/tiles? Safe enough, not slippery?
-
I got a lovely pair of DMs industrial, from the car boot brand new a fiver.
Its amazing what you can get there if you get up early enough ;D

Just to be clear are you wearing the shoes while cleaning the carpet or taking them off and wearing the blue booties?
Or are you putting the blue booties over your shoes and taking them on & off as you go in and out of the house?
I where crocs, the first job of the day I put on a pair of blue booties over my socks and they stay on for the rest of the day( or until the rip, then they are replaced ) as I walk in & out of the house I slip my crocs on or off. It takes seconds to do.
I can't see how wearing shoes works unless you don't wear booties and just walk in & out of the house in your shoes.

I wear dunlop boots , you can buy the shoe as well but I prefer the boot as it gives me more support, I haven't had any proplem with any chemical, they last about two years at a cost of about £25 from sports directly

Hi,
It seems weird that gas engineers etc working for a national arnt allowed to wear the overshoes as its against there health and safety rules, also electricians etc. . Derek, yours look like they are made of lego or something!!. The sweatiness of a bag on the feet could almost cause feet to mould I would have thought...
The very job we do on domestics I think clean workboots are ok,although I may look into the overshoes, commercial I'm not sure the overshoes are needed, although obviously add to the theatre of it all.
Cheers

I wear boots and only put on overshoes when i walk on to the carpet i have just cleaned i don't see the point in wearing them during the clean.
-
as long as they are smart, it doesn't matter, why get hung up about the shoes you are wearing, I prefer to concentrate on the job
-
It does' the matter want we think it's the perception of the customers, I like to think that it has more chance of impressing the customer than upsetting them.
What would you rather they say to their friends....... " he wore funny blue plastic shoes to protect my carpet" or "he walked straight in with his dirty shoes on"
