Title: Buying a van or leasing?
Post by: Tom.m on May 26, 2015, 06:51:27 pm
Just throwing a few questions out. Looking to start carpet cleaning and oven cleaning, is it worth buying a van or leasing one? Also what would be a good size?

Cheers

I don't bother with leasing, by the time I have used it for 3 years or so it's in no fit state to go back. Would end up costing me more.

If I buy a new van and it lasts 4 - 5 years am happy

My only problem is that after i buy all my equipment and pay for training i just couldn't afford a new van. It would only be for about two years with a £1000 deposit, just while i build up some capital to actually buy a nice van.  recommend any vans?

+1
I prefer to own an older van outright as I  don't have to worry about scratching it etc.
Use that deposit money to buy one as you may not have enough work to begin with.

Buy a cat D van, as these are about 30% cheaper, and if you are not bothered about resale value everyone's a winner  ;D
