bentsbrook, how old is the pole?
-
Spray with a good quality laquer may well remedy it , Oh and buy Gardiners SLX ;D ;D ;D next time mines over 2yrs old and still in good order
-
About a 18 months old nice pole not an SLx but I like extra 2ft over slx when doing third storey so need that clamp changed
-
If the clamps not gripping it means that the pole section has worn to the limits of the clamp adjustment so its
the pole section that needs changed.
Does it slip on the whole pole section or just at the top ?

Buy some resin that they use on fishing rods and rebuild thickness of pole so clamp grips again ,I have bought some but not got round to doing it .
