Hi everyone
what im about to say may sou nd fairly crazy and i may be on a buisness kamikaze mission but here goes anyway.
Close to where i have started my cleaning company a highschool is offering a cleaning contract, i really want to go for it.
Do you think there is a possibility i might get it or would there jus be no chance without years of experience in the trade and i would not have a chance.
Also after i receive the full specifications in the post would anybody be able to help me with compiling the actual quote witrh riska ssesments and hand s and all of that?
I understand im asking a load and it would take a sant to not just laugh at me but oh well lol
thanks again rat (the site baby)

Hi,
If you haven't got ISO's and more probably, if you're not on the list of preffered contractors for the local council it would be a shot in the dark that you would even reach second base with this contract. I would advise that you still fill in the tender as it is good practice, also ask for feedback after the tender (decision) date has passed, some people may not even answer you, but if you just get one piece of feedback it all adds to your knowledge for the future.
Good Luck

hi there
the biggest issue will be tupe
you may find that the cleaners have actually been on the site for years, only the cleaning company changes.
why?? cost saving all the time, a retender exercise, reduces the costs for the client in real time, and therefore reduce visible profit line for the cleaning company. eventually the cleaning company will then xut its overheads on the contract and may sometimes jeopardise quality of service by doing that.
the other point is that during term time the clean will be different to that of the holidays, therefore you need to factor that into the equation.
we did a infant and junior school flood restoration last year, actually ONE week after the new school year started. the carpets in the school were cleaner when we finished our job, didnt say much for the NORMAL cleaning specification.
