hi guys, this last week or so I,ve developed a problem with my neck just under the left ear with pain running up the left side of my head , I,ve been wfp for 2 years or so, has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you deal with it..cheers

Yes, my back and neck is pretty messed up from wfp :(
See a specialist. Stretch each morning and excise to even out the muscle in-balances.
-
How many houses do you clean per day. You sound over worked now your neck is telling you so.
-
Yeah that's just pole cleaning... It ruins you
-
Yes have had problems with neck pain for a few years now, I'm going on 8 years wfp and its a horrendous job for
your joints full stop.
-
It's only you oldies that suffer ;D
I'm 30 years young, year 6 wfp and for me it's the opposite, iv found iv built extra strength in the places that matter I.e shoulders, neck etc so don't suffer any pains.
-
any ideas regarding remedies lads..
-
Yoga :D
heard it's becoming popular amongst working class men these days..
-
That's it. Yoga is the thing. I went just last night.
Gives your body some tlc and strengthens and stretches you just where you need it.
Give it a go, you'll feel great afterwards.
Either that or spend three nights a week pumping weights

Do you stand to close to the house? Maybe try extending pole section a little more than you normally would, so you're neck angle is not so acute, it might help alleviate some pain.
-
have had neck pain ever since i started w.f.p some days it drive me mad

Friend of mine who blames wfp for all his strains and pains has been going to yoga classes twice a week for the last 4 months its called Bikram yoga and each class is done over 90 minutes under ceiling mounted heaters, he swears by these classes and now gets through his work without any strains or pains, so there must be something to these type yoga classes.

I've gone through the lot, tingling hands, bandage wraps on my elbows etc....I'm fine now, What pole are you using and what length is it ? I'm hoping your not going to say an 18ft pole. Lots here recomend them i personally think they're terrible. I say that because most of the time you end up being underneath them, as opposed to a 22ft or 27 ft where you can stand much further back and its easier, this of course entails using a much lighter brush etc..........
Anyway, what gear are you using ?

go and see a doctor mate and take a week off and see if it improves.also take a look at my post 5 YEAR WFP as ive put some advice and tips on there that have helped me greatly over the years.
dont try and work through it as you could make it much worse.
best wishes

Just remember we to were young and like us you will get older and will suffer when its to late to do anything. With age come wisdom. Smart ass.

I'm of the opinion the younger you get into wfp, the less you"ll suffer later in life.
Wfp has been around for what, 15 years maximum. Most probably didn't even know about it until a few years after that.
So let's say a 45 year old window cleaner took up wfp 5 years ago, at that age it would be much harder for the body to adapt to these new stresses and strains.
On the other hand a 25 year old who took up wfp 5 years ago, by the time he reaches 45 his body would be far more flexible and use to wfp.
"with age come"S" wisdom".. ;D

cheers lads, I,m 50yo this time, using a clx 22 at the minute.
